My profile

My passion is supporting people to fulfil their true potential.  Sometimes it can feel like life is against you and you are getting nowhere fast.  My role is to support you to find your own solutions to achieving yours goals in life so you can move forward with confidence.

I qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor from The University of Salford and have since, added a plethora of therapy and support skills to my tool kit.  I work in the areas of Trauma, Bereavement, building self-esteem and confidence, Phobias, Shame and Attachment issues, Stress, Anxiety and Depression.

I have more than 20 years of experience in delivering Coaching and Psychotherapy support to families, groups and individuals experiencing challenges posed by anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have worked in educational settings, within child sexual exploitation teams, with marginalised groups and charity organisations and Private Practice.

I have incorporated Person Centred Counselling, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Hypnotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Guided Imagery and Life Coaching into my practice.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling. I am a qualified and experienced practitioner who is covered by professional indemnity insurance and who always works according to the ethical framework and guidelines set out by the BACP. In accordance with best practice, I regularly attend clinical supervision, professional training courses and workshops as an ongoing commitment to my clients and my professional development.
