Hi, I’m Jenny, a person-centred counsellor and registered member of the British Association
for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I’m here to listen respectfully to whatever you would like
to talk about, without judgement and in complete confidence.

Life isn’t always plain sailing and, when you experience tough times, it can be difficult to
know how to cope and make change towards a calmer, more positive future. Talking can
really help, when you say out loud how you’re feeling and what you’re thinking to someone
who won’t judge or criticise and has genuine warmth and respect for you, it can be a
powerful first step. Talking can help you unravel what’s going on, how your reactions and
behaviours to your experiences can shape your relationships and happiness. Exploring how
you feel, and learning about yourself, can empower you to help manage your day to day life
in a way that can be less stressful and challenging.

Sometimes we can find ourselves stuck in a situation, or way of being that we don’t like, but
we can’t see a way out of it. Breaking down the problem can bring focus to the areas of your
life that don’t seem right and talking about the feelings connected to the problem can help in
working out the solution. Traumatic experiences can seem impossible to move on from, but
kind and empathic support can bring about real change.

I have supported a variety of different people from varying backgrounds and beliefs with a
range of issues such as anxiety, relationship breakdown, trauma, grief, etc. I volunteer with a local counselling charity and also help to offer a free ‘walk-in’ support service in my local area with 3 friends who are also counsellors. If you feel ready to get the help that you
